Mission Statement

In the tradition of Catholic Education, Mary Star of the Sea Preschool promotes opportunities for each child to grow spiritually, socially emotional, physically, mentally and creatively. As a small community, together with parents, director, and staff, it is our goal to develop these values in each child.

Philosophy Statement

Mary Star of the Sea Preschool believes that each child is a child of God, endowed with unique gifts and talents. In cooperation with parents, the director, staff, children, school and church we form a faith community dedicated to teach, nurture, and integrate Catholic values into your Child’s everyday lives.

Mary Star of the Sea Preschool is a Christ-centered environment that provides the opportunity for spiritual growth through the living traditions of the Church. Faith development is achieved with the practice of prayer.

As a director and with the staff, our school strives to create a warm and loving environment where children can learn about themselves, gain an understanding of others and develop their self-esteem. Each child is treated with acceptance, encouragement and respect for his or her individuality. Our hope is that each child will feel successful and develop the ability to grow in positive ways.

The Mary Star of the Sea Preschool offers varied activities in faith development, art, language, music, movement, science, outdoor play and cooking. Play is a critical component to an excellent early childhood education. Our curriculum offers opportunities for each child to develop his or her own knowledge through the discovery and exploration inherent in quality play activities. Above all, our priority is to provide an exciting and happy school experience for your children.
